In constant motion....but to where?

this talk was real clear-cut making sense to me today. i love when that happens, like God takes all this fluff and goes, 'bam--eat it up kid'.

CONSTANT MOTION
so we are living, each of us happen to be alive. which means time keeps going, we are aging, all having some sort of experiences, going down SOME path. NO one is standing still--it's impossible.

" We cannot be neutral; there is no middle ground."

well crap. if i can never stand still, then where am i going? (haha as a tangent, i totally just pictured all of us as items in a vending machine, where those spring loaded pusher things are moving us closer to the front and was super annoyed and swatting at it)

DIRECTION
"Unlike Alice, we all know where we want to go, and it does matter which
way we go, for by choosing our path, we choose our destination."

then where are we going, or hopefully being led and pulled to?

" our goal: eternal life with our Father in Heaven."

THE HOW TO
------DON'T excuse yourself.
"his entire life has turned out to be an unending stream of extenuating circumstances"

“If Brother Brigham shall take a wrong track, and be shut out of the Kingdom of heaven,
no person will be to blame but BrotherBrigham. I am the only being in heaven, earth, or hell,
that can be blamed.”He continued: “This will equally apply to every Latterday Saint.
Salvation is an individual operation.”

------Be alert.
"David listened, wavered, and then followed and fell."

"[satan] attracts the unsuspecting away from the safety of their chosen pathway."

------Be consistent.
"The lesson he learned is that it is easier to keep the commandments 100 percent of the time than it is 98
percent of the time."

-----BE COURAGEOUS!
"Decisions are constantly before us. To make them wisely, courage is needed—the courage to say no, the courage to say yes. Decisions do determine destiny."

"May we keep our eyes, our hearts, and our determination focused on that goal which is eternal and worth
any price we will have topay, regardless of the sacrifice we must make to reach it."

I really hope we can all decide for ourselves that our goals ARE worth it. and that we WILL NOT be moved.
